Oxidation, reduction and redox agents

Define oxidation and reduction in terms of electron transfer, change in oxidation state and gain or loss of oxygen or hydrogen, and use oxidation states to identify the species oxidized and reduced and the oxidizing and reducing agents in a reaction.
