Odpowiedź z klucza
From the first two equations, x=3+2z and 2y=10−7z. The third becomes 6+4z+10−7z+αz=β, or (α−3)z=β−16. It is an identity precisely when α=3 and β=16, leaving the free parameter z. Equivalently the second equation minus the first is 2x+2y+3z=16; the third must coincide with it. Row reduction and the intersection-of-planes method are equivalent.
Schemat punktowania
M1: eliminate a variable or combine equations. A1A1: two correct intermediate equations or corresponding rows. A1: remaining relation (α−3)z=β−16 or equivalent. M1: impose zero coefficient and zero residual for a free parameter. A1: α=3,β=16. For direct subtraction: M1 combination, A2 correct 2x+2y+3z=16, M1 coefficient comparison, A1 each parameter. Equivalent geometric approaches receive six marks for direction, containment and both constants.
Komentarz. Paper 1: no calculator; AA HL formula booklet allowed. Give exact values unless a stated approximation is requested. Show sufficient working for method and proof marks.
